US Gulf of Mexico operator Woodside Energy has farmed out a 30 interest to Occidental Petroleum in more than two dozen exploration blocks targeting what the Australian giant says is an emerging deepwater play. The duo plan to spud the Orst exploration well on the acreage in the fourth quarter of 2022, at a prospect called “Hoodoo. ”
