摘要

In this paper an all optical comparator was designed and simulated. The proposed structure works using nonlinear threshold switching that was implemented by application of nonlinear resonant cavities. The proposed structure works based on nonlinear threshold switching. X and Y are the input ports of the proposed structure using different combination of these input ports one can control that which bias port can be connected to its corresponding output port. The optical intensity required at input ports is about 0.1 W/mu m(2). The maximum rise and fall times for the proposed structure are 3 ps and 1 ps respectively. Therefore the bit rate is about 250 GS/s. Also the ON/OFF contrast ratio of the proposed optical comparator is 9.8 dB.
