The footprinl is a trapezoidal plot ami is smaller(570 m~2)than the surrounding buildings.In a sense,this tower is an"architectural folly"of today,a term that must be taken in its noblest sense-a large autonomous pavilion whose original forms are the result of the resolution of spatial,constructive,and environmental constraints.The program superimposes 3 entities:commercial,residential,and finally,at the top,top(16th floor),a restaurant.Each of these components requires its own access and consequently,the project has several circulation cores in the heart of the building.The large regulatory volume of the restaurant's emergency staircases is thus treated as an autonomous sculptural volume of intertwined double-helix stairs.
