They may not pique Elon Musk's interest, but satellite pellet plants are of interest to manufacturers outside the car and rocket industries. Satellite pellet plants - low-volume facilities near their primary source of feedstock - have become more common in recent years as producers have sought to improve their ESG valuations and put their waste materials to more profitable use. Such investments have become increasingly viable as well, in terms of their economics, with demand for pellets growing worldwide and a supply chain that has struggled to keep up.
