On 2 December 2022, the Full Federal Court upheld a judgment setting aside a decision by the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) to approve an environment plan allowing Santos to conduct drilling activities in the Timor Sea, approximately 138 km north of the Tiwi Islands (the Drilling EP).
