ROYAL NAVY AND DANISH NAVY TO WORK TOGETHER ON NEW FRIGATES

The UK Royal Navy and Royal Danish Navy are to work together to bring the UK's next generation of warships into service and have signed an agreement covering construction, training, and operation of the Type 31 frigate. The Royal Navy has ordered five Type 31 frigates to replace its Type 23 vessels. The design of the Type 31s - also known as the Inspiration-class - is based on the Danish Navy's lver Huitfeldt-class, platforms that have a proven record of operations around the world.
