A new synonym of the Pyraloidea from the genus Loxostege Hübner, 1825 (Lepidoptera: Crambidae: Pyraustinae)

Continuing the study of Palearctic Pyraloidea, based on the material from Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Karlsruhe (SMNK), it was noticed that Pyrausta shirazalis Amsel, 1961 and Loxostege ayhanana Kemal Ko?ak, 2017 (Crambidae: Pyraustinae) are very similar to each other. Thus, in this Correspondence, a new synonymy is proposed and a new combination is established: Loxostege ayhanana Kemal Ko?ak, 2017 syn. nov. of Loxostege shirazalis (Amsel, 1961) comb. nov. Female genitalia of L. shirazalis is described for the first time.
