Pratt Whitney says its predictive maintenance services and engine health monitoring help to save between US$35,000 and US$100,000 per aircraft per year in cost avoidance. The engine maker is now strengthening its collaboration with fellow Raytheon Technologies company Collins Aerospace to power up its predictive maintenance support solutions still further. The pair have signed a full-flight data delivery agreement to that effect. The thousands of parameters from sensors and systems collected by Collins' 'GlobalConnect' and other data solutions during a flight will expand the engine health management services offered by Pratt Whitney as part of its 'EngineWise Insights+' solution.
