Not an obvious type for many modellers, the return of the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation CA-13 Boomerang, via Airfix's Vintage Classics range, is nonetheless welcome. As you'd expect, it is a product of its time (1965) but, echoing the firm's other vintage items, is actually good in outline. It's a great option for a nostalgia build, but also for modellers who enjoy adding their own detail. The only cockpit features provided are a hugely basic seat and an unrefined pilot figure, so scratch-builders or those who are happy employing aftermarket products can make a big difference here.
