U.S. pipe and tube mills operated at 31.4 of capacity in June based upon preliminary shipment data. This is a decrease of 3.4 percentage points from the May rate once adjusted for final U.S. domestic shipments. At this time last year, the average operating rate was 48.7. These figures encompass all U.S. mills.
