As 2022 nears conclusion, we are finalizing this year-end issue of Information Display (ID) The past 12 months seem like they have flown by. I don't relish the thought of growing older, but there are some years, like 2020, when I was happy to see the end. Others, like this year, I wish I could hold onto for much longer. I was honored to serve as the chair of SID's 60th anniversary celebration, which was marked with many events and special activities in San Jose. An incredible team brought that event to life and deserve much praise. I always will treasure their energy, encouragement, and support. It was great to be face to face again at Display Week, sharing ideas and finding common ground for collaboration. This year, we saw some great technical advances, such as quantum dot (QD)-OLED TVs, displays on contact lenses, and an entire car wrapped with an E Ink skin-I wish I had thought of that one first! Larger, smaller, better, faster, more realistic, and immersive are all terms that continue to define the output of our industry.
