Since Micronclean built the UK's first dedicated cleanroom laundry in 1981, the company has pursued a vigorous innovation strategy. The latest development is Micronclean becoming the first and only cleanroom laundry in the UK to be awarded GMP certification. However, pursuing innovation for its own sake without listening and reacting to the requirements of its customer base ("changing the markets we serve" in Micronclean speak) or failing to innovate, are business strategies that are destined for failure. No one wants to be the next Betamax or Blackberry. Micronclean's new GMP certification stands alongside its existing EN14065 (RABC) certification. Giving customers certainty their laundered cleanroom items are processed in accordance with policies and practices which have been independently verified. It guarantees these items will be returned in a ready for use condition alongside product and process assurance which includes decontamination and sterility validation in line with the requirements of EU GMP Annex 1.
