Adenocarcinomas of the lacrimal gland are very rare, accounting for only 5-7 of epithelial tumours of the lacrimal gland (Katz et al., 1996). Adenocarcinoma is generally regarded as an aggressive malignancy, however, the best treatment and overall prognosis are unknown, which may suggest that adenocarcinoma has a poor prognosis (Kurisua et al., 2005). A 6 year old she Murrah buffalo was brought with the history of pink discolouration of left eye for one month. On physical examination, a large soft tissue mass covering the whole globe was seen (Fig. 1). A small portion of cornea was visible at lateral canthus of eye. An ocular ultrasound was performed in right lateral recumbency. 2 lignocaine HC1 jelly was applied directly over the mass for ultrasound scanning. A large hyperechoic mass was seen at the medial canthus, which was related to third eyelid and extended ventrally. Ultrasonographically, rest of the eye globe structures appeared normal.
