In US Northwest, Mid-C on-peak and off-peak power contracts for Nov. 26-28 delivery each rose more than $50 from the priorday Platts indexes, pricing around $113/MWh and $94.25/MWh, respectively. High temperatures in Seattle and Portland were expected to dip to the upper 40s F from the lower 50s, and lows were forecast in the lower 40s F over the US Thanksgiving holiday weekend and early the following week, according to the CustomWeather forecast. Southwest day-ahead power prices also increased, though not as considerably as in the Northwest. Palo Verde on-peak rose about $17.75 on the Intercontinental Exchange to price near $72.75/MWh, and off-peak traded about $21.50 higher near $73.50/MWh.
