Small but meaningful

Diversey Agriculture, together with industry consultants, Promar International, have published a report to highlight some of the best practices put forward in the #WeAreDairyAward. The award aims to recognise, celebrate and publicise the positive innovations, improvements and actions being made on dairy farms on a global scale. It was established to make a difference and include not only the obvious larger solutions to farming sustainably, but also to highlight the smaller practical changes that can make a difference. Overall, the entries summarise that dairy farmers care and think about the future, particularly when it comes to energy, efficiency and welfare. While energy costs are continuing to rise, alongside the cost of other on-farm inputs, Diversey Agriculture has pro- duced a report, "Achieving sustainable and efficiency improvement goals on dairy farms." It looks at the processes and practices that have been carried out by the finalists for the award, and how they can be adopted by others in the dairy farming community.
