摘要

A simple coumarin derived novel chemosensor, (E)-4-(2-hydroxyphenyl)amino-3-2-(4-nitrophenylhydrazonomethyl)-2H-chromen-2-one (HNHC), has been designed and synthesized which displays colorimetric as well as "turn-off" fluorescence repercussion for Cu2+ in the nano molar level. This procedure approves the selectivity as well as sensitivity of a chemosensor HNHC within an expansive linear range of (4.6-2094)x10(-8) M at lambda(max) of 449 nm; with detection limit (LOD) 9.13x10(-8) M for Cu2+, 1.17x10(-7) M for F- and 5.64x10(-7) M for CN-. Moreover, HNHC may be pursued as a potential antioxidant for its excellent free radical scavenging capability.
