The US renewable fuels firm has selected Australian EPC firm Worley as the firm to provide all pre-feasibility, feasibility, and front-end engineering design (FEED) work related to licenses of its technology package. Velocys waste-to-fuels technology (includes gasification, Fischer-Tropsch, and hydroprocessing stages that utilize technologies provided by a number of companies including Danish chemical firm Haldor Topsoe, US steam reforming gasification technology firm ThermoChem Recovery International, and Velocys) is able to convert waste feedstocks into renewable diescl and naphtha and Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (SPK), which can be used as a sustainable aviation fuel.
