The data on the efficiency of chemical sensors consisting of binary mixtures of semiconducting metal oxides having different conducting and catalytic properties have been considered. The sensors exhibit a high efficiency for detecting toxic, inflammable, and explosive gases, such as hydrogen, CO, methane, ammonia, and ozone, in air. The developed sensor systems have been shown to be useful for the timely warning about the appearance of the aforementioned compounds in the atmosphere in different concentrations.
