Effective utilisation of Bagasse as fuel has become the need of the day as its fuel value increases with decrease in moisture content. Being green in nature, renewable and sustainable, it has potential to reduce fossil fuel consumption in operations of the integrated sugar plant. Increasing duration of Cogeneration Plant or Distillery would naturally improve the bottom line with the bagasse that is saved from the Bagasse Dryer. The Bagasse Dryer Technology demonstrates this economic reality at The Seksaria Biswan Sugar Factory Ltd. Innovation requires teamwork as well as tapping into the collaborative efforts of all those who contribute towards making breakthroughs when difficulties arise. Overcoming the difficulties, in times of Covid, coordinating across continents through video conferencing and accomplishing different tasks, more effectively with the digital technology offered today makes it for the interesting times to come in future. The successful demonstration of Bagasse Dryer Technology now, as explained in this paper offers scope to sugar factories and distilleries to improve their operation as well as the bottom line with payback being less than 3 years.
