In a recent report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), total tractor sales were up over 9 in the US for the month of February, compared with sales data from February 2021. In the month of March, the AEM noted that sales declined for the first time since July 2021 by 21.1. According to the group, it is not a weakening in demand but a lack of farm equipment inventory. Low inventories are forcing changes in buying patterns from seeit-on-the-lot and take-it-home-later-in-theweek to having to order sight unseen. This also requires more planning by farmers as some equipment dealers are saying lead times on new equipment are as long as 10- 11 months. Overall, despite supply restrictions, the AEM has said that all signs point to double-digit sales growth in 2022
