Hammerer Aluminium Industries releases an investment volume of €38 million for the expansion of the Extrusion site in Ranshofen, Austria. In July 2022 the company plans to put the heart of the investment package, the 60-MN extrusion press, into operation. With this investment, HAI strengthens its technological market position. 80 of the €38 million investment is assigned to contractors in Austria and Germany. The investment in a highly automated 60-MN extrusion press and in upstream and downstream production plants is necessary due to the great demand for lightweight components in the automotive industry. There is an especially high demand for lightweight components for emobility, reports the company. This is a strategically important step forward.
