Weeds are smart. They keep figuring out how to survive whatever a farmer throws at them."My biggest challenge is waterhemp. I spray for it in soybeans at postemergence. The field looks clean until about six weeks later, when waterhemp starts to pop up,"says Brian Pickering.The Iowa farmer also saw the weed in ditches for the first time this past summer, requiring more management and added cost to control it.
