As the energy sector looks for any opportunity to decarbonize its operations, renewable natural gas (RNG) is becoming an increasingly attractive option for gas consumers looking for a product with net negative emissions. Major RNG producers across the U.S. have noted the continual growth of the gas, and many don't expect that growth to end in the near future. One of the largest producers of RNG in North America, TC Energy flows approximately 30 Bcf annually to its customers through a network of about a dozen facilities, as well as thousands of miles of pipelines. According to Roger Williams, director of business development at TC Energy, the company expects to double its development to 15 Bcf this year.
