EU reiterates opposition to Russian LNG

The European Commission has reiterated its desire to reduce imports of Russian LNG. The EU imported 10.8bn m3 of natural gas equivalent of Russian LNG in the first half of 2023, broadly in line with 19.3bn m3 across the whole of 2022, but well up from 13.5bn m3 in 2021, according to the commission.
