摘要

The consumption of fossil fuels has contributed to global warming and otherproblems. It is urgent to exploit progressive, low-cost, and environmentallyfriendly energy storage devices with super high energy density. Rechargeablelithium oxygen batteries (LOBs) with a high theoretical energy density(≈11400 Wh kg~(?1)) are one of the most promising chemical power supplies.Mxenes have recently emerged in energy storage and conversion due totheir superior conductivity and adjustable structural properties. Here, thispaper summarizes the latest research progress in Mxene-based materials inthe cathode, anode, separator and electrolyte of LOBs and emphasizes thesignificance of high conductivity and surface functionalization strategies inthe theoretical design and experimental modulation, which promote electrodereaction kinetics and increase the cyclability of LOBs. It also summarizes theprospects and challenges of Mxene-based LOBs and proposes novel strategiesto promote battery performance, inspiring the future progress of MXenebasedmaterials in designing high-performance LOBs.
