In the present paper, we model a combustion process of a polydispersed fuel using the integro‐differential system of balance and kinetic equations supplemented by the boundary and initial conditions. Analytical solutions of this system are found in a parametric form. It is shown that the furnace temperature, oxidant concentration, and the particle‐size distribution function eventually approach the corresponding steady‐state solutions. As this takes place, the distribution function reduces with increasing the radii of burning particles.
