US regulations requiring government contractors to have their employees vaccinated against Covid-19 by 4 January have put the country's aerospace industry in a difficult position. That mandate could see large numbers of employees either leave voluntarily or face dismissal if they choose not to get their jabs. Those effects will be felt across the industry too. "We are expecting some level of disruption, some level of challenge in the supply chain. Keep in mind, it's not just the prime contractors, but it's also all of our subcontractors that need to follow the mandate as well," says Raytheon Technologies chief executive Greg Hayes.
