Alexander Dennis is developing a new electric bus to meet the needs of smaller fleets for whom the Scottish government launched a ￡500,000 scheme in August to help them invest in zero-emission vehicles. The Zero Emission Bus Market Transition Scheme, to be delivered through the Energy Saving Trust, will help small and medium-sized operators, local authorities and community transport organisations assess their options for decarbonisation, and prepare collaborative and competitive business cases ahead of the next multi-million pound phase of ScotZEB which opens in spring 2023.
