There's an old joke about a woodworker saying he hoped that when he died, his wife wouldn't sell all his tools for what he told her they cost.In the same way as anything that holds our interest for many years, woodworking inevitably attracts investment in money as well as time. But that doesn't mean that it has to be wantonly expensive.
