I don't know how long I've been doing this annual holiday column suggesting the perfect gifts for the imperfect people in the industry, but it never seems to get old. At least not to me.It started several career generations ago as a lark, a way to have a little fun at the end of the year when we all needed a break from the stress of trying to earn a living and do our jobs in a business world that challenged both of those pursuits. It has kept pretty much the same mission, even if the past few years it's been perhaps a little kinder and gentler to reflect a world that was anything but.For the end of 2022, it's pretty much along the same lines: wishes, gifts and salutations for the most visible people in the retail and home textiles worlds, both the naughty and the nice.As always, it's all offered with tongue planted firmly in cheek and not to be taken all that seriously...even if some lines are occasionally crossed in the pursuit of good punchlines. To those on the list, take it in the spirit of the holidays. And to those not here, consider yourself pardoned, at least for another year.
