摘要

This Paper investigates the Electromagnetic design of Excitation system which is used for rotating the cylindrical Wave guide rotor cavity in desired position for Wave guide rotary switch application. In microwave communication systems, Wave Guide rotary switches are being operated in high frequency band applications for selectively connection of intermediate waveguide transmission. Excitation system consist of electromagnetic coils which is used for rotating the wave guide rotor for desired communication. Effect of Detent and Developed torque in Excitation system is analyzed using Low Frequency Simulation Software. Based on Parametric simulations. Suitable methods is devised for realization of Excitation system. High frequency simulation is also carried out in cylindrical wave guide rotor cavity which is used for selection of one wave guide to other wave guide transmission. Optimization in rotor cavity is carried out by introducing chokes and quarter wave transforms techniques for improving the isolation and insertion loss.
