The past few years have been challenging in veterinary medicine. The pandemic magnified the intensity and our collective awareness of issues that threaten our professional well-being, but at the same time, it forced increased connectivity that makes discussion of these issues—and possible solutions—easier. For Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), this is due in part to public outreach efforts of the National Association ofVeterinaryTechnicians in America (NAVTA) via the Veterinary Nurse Initiative (VNI) and the Veterinary Innovation Council (VIC), a nonprofit industry association that collaborated on the creation of a new Master ofVeterinary Clinical Care (MVCC) degree at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU).
