The review analyzes the development of the hydrogen energy market, discusses the national programs to support this new branch of the global energy industry and pilot hydrogen projects. The issues of hydrogen production, consumption, accumulation, storage, and transportation are considered. The assessment of the state of the global and Russian hydrogen markets according to main market indicators and their development prospects for the coming years is given.
