The September import total was 70,834 tons which was about 15 higher than the license number from last month. October licenses indicate a drop in volume to 56,699 tons. The November forecast, with 11 of 21 days tallied, is 40,272 tons. This forecast bucks the trend of other product sectors. The top import item for September 2021 for mechanical tube was welded, carbon, square or rect., wall less than 0.156” with 25,773 tons. The price was $1,953/ton which was up $115/ton from the previous month and $652/ton over the last 10 months.
