Continuing its downtrend from the day before, PJM West Hub day-ahead on-peak dropped about $6.75 to price approximately $27.50/MWh for May 25 delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange. The real-time peak contract slid around $4.75 to price approximately $27/MWh and the corresponding off-peak contract declined $3.25 to $17.75/MWh. Power prices followed the lead of regional natural gas prices as Texas Eastern M3 fell around 3 cents from Platts assessed price for May 24 to $1.49/MMBtu, and Chicago city-gates dropped 4 cents to around $2.09/MMBtu on ICE for next-day flows on ICE.
