Invitation to comment on Beresfield Battery Energy Storage System

Firm Power Pty Ltd. proposes to develop a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a 170 MW / 340 MWh stand - alone battery energy storage system and grid connection at Beresfield, within the Newcastle City Council Local Government Area, New South Wales. The Beresfield BESS will be located adjacent to Ausgrid’s Beresfield Substation. Once operational, it will provide a range of electricity and power market services. The application, environmental impact statement, and accompanying documents are on exhibition from Thursday 1 June 2023 until Wednesday 28 June 2023.
