The Tall Ship, James Craig, is a three-masted iron-hulled barque built in 1874 in Sunderland, England. She moved cargo globally until 1900 when she was acquired by Mr J. J. Craig for use on the Australia-New Zealand run. As steamships took over she was relegated to other duties until being scuttled in Recherche Bay in Tasmania in 1932. She was floated in 1972 and towed to Hobart for initial repairs. In 1981 she was towed to Sydney and by 2001 her restoration was complete. She is part of the Sydney Heritage Fleet and is one of only four 19th Century barques worldwide that regularly goes to sea.
