Military Engineering in a Competitive World: Record of the 2022 Military Engineering Conference delivered by 8 Engineer Brigade on 30 June 2022

If ever there was a time to come together and take stock as a military engineer community it is now. The timing is important for two reasons. First, we are clearly in the midst of a European security crisis, the scale of which none of us have seen in our careers. Secondly, we are now implementing Future Soldier which is the most significant transformation of the Army for at least 20 years. This transformation is already underway, with 70 Squadron now re-subordinated to 23 Parachute Engineer Regiment and 32 Engineer Regiment resubordinated to 7 Light Mech Brigade Combat Team.
