States and other opponents of a petition that could upend netmetering programs across the country will get only a fraction of theadditional time they said was needed to prepare their responses whilealso juggling the national crisis presented by the coronaviruspandemic.A slew of requests for more time to address the petition (EL20-42)and comments in support of those requests were filed to the FederalEnergy Regulatory Commission after the New England RatepayersAssociation on April 14 asked FERC to assert “jurisdiction overwholesale energy sales from generation sources located on thecustomer side of the retail meter.”
