The 13-state PJM Interconnection LLC region could see nearly34 GW of new renewable energy projects developed over thenext four years if PJM can return to its earlier rate of processingrequests to connect to the grid, according to a new report.Released June 28 by the American Council on RenewableEnergy (ACORE), the report further estimated that up to $33billion in capital investment could materialize within theMid-Atlantic region as PJM seeks to clear a large backlog ofinterconnection requests from developers.
