Investigation into the Neutron Detector for a Radiation Monitor

The neutron-detection efficiency of a detector based on He-3 counters in radiation monitors has been investigated. The factors affecting the neutron-detection efficiency are considered. The possibility of optimizing the detector in terms of the signal-to-background ratio is shown.
