The Standing Committee of Parliament on Railways led by its Chairman Shri Radha Mohan Singh, visited Mysuru and Bengaluru Divisions on 22nd August, 2022. The Chairman and other members held discussions with senior officers of South Western Railway (SWR). The performance and infrastructure developments of South Western Railway that took place in the Zone in the recent past which were highlighted by Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, South Western Railway were appreciated by the committee. The Members of Parliament also inspected KSR Bengaluru and Sir M Visvesvaraya Railway Terminals. The committee which inspected Sir M Visvesvaraya Railway Terminal lauded the efforts of SWR in providing the first ever airport like world-class terminal to the people of India. Shri Shyam Singh, DRM, Bengaluru and Shri Rahul Agarwal, DRM, Mysuru accompanied the committee along with Shri Range Lai Meena, Chief Administrative Officer, Construction, Shri Hari Shankar Verma, Principal Chief Operation Manager, Shri Ashish Pandey Dy GM and other senior officers of SWR.
