The US oil & gas technology company has introduced its Experion~R PKS IT Highly Integrated Virtual Environment (HIVE), which it claims will reduce project delivery and lifecycle costs due to the centralization of up to 80% of project engineering IT infrastructure. Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) notes diat the centralization of IT infrastructure lowers how much networking and compute resources must be run onsite during an engineering project, allowing users the flexibility to run networking and compute resources onsite and/or at an offsite location like a remote data center. HPS adds some of the benefits of Experion PKS IT HIVE are lower maintenance of IT infrastructure, leading to lower costs, along with enhanced cybersecurity as experts at a centralized location can monitor critical IT infrastructure.
