Huadian charters huge wind installation vessel

HUADIAN Heavy Industries has signed an agreement with China's major private offshore wind contractor, Boqiang Heavy Industry, to charter a giant offshore wind turbine installation newbuild, eyeing increased vessel demand after 2023. The deal will see the Chinese power utility contracting giant hiring the 3060 WTIV-design vessel for three years from owner Boqiang from the end of September 2023, with an option for another three years.
