BRAZIL'S Petrobras has declared the commerciality of its cluster of deep-water discoveries in the Sergipe-Alagoas basin, as it prepares to start production from the area in 2026. "We are developing a new frontier in oil and gas production," said Petrobras exploration and production director Fernando Borges. Over the past decade, Petrobras made six promising finds in Sergipe-Alagoas, unlocking a light oil province in the country's north-east coast.
