To create a park that prioritizes plants, an ecological study (soil, relief, climatic vegetation) established 4 botanical scenes articulated in 4 dominant places around the central station.First, the forest scene on the plateau adjoining the municipal park of Aulnay is home to species representative of the region:oak on the upper area of the plateau and beech, Scots pine, and ash in the lower parts. All these species are mixed with their usual accompanying species and managed in the mode of state forests. For budgetary reasons, the entire park has been planted with forest seedlings (very young trees measuring only 50 cm) and, to foster the required patience while waiting for them to grow, we have imagined around each seedling area a system of shrub borders with very rapid growth that compensates for the slow growth of the noble trees.
