Reagent treatment of wastewater used in coke quenching is environmentally and economically assessed, in terms of the cost of the coagulants and flocculants, the environmental penalties for excessive atmospheric emissions (per 1 t of pollutants beyond the permissible level), correction coefficients, and the relative hazard levels of the pollutants. The annual savings for a plant generating wastewater at a rate of 1500 t/day is 573.8 million rub.
