摘要

Abstract The generalised Schrödinger equation is a nonlinear equation that is frequently encountered in modern physics study. Additionally, it is an important equation for researching problems with light pulse transmission in nonlinear dispersive optical medium. Schrödinger–Hirota model is very important in communication systems because its refer to motion of solitary wave in optical fiber. In the ongoing study, the modified extended direct algebraic integration technique is applied to study the generalized Schrödinger–Hirota equation. Based on this method, various types of solutions, such as bright solitons, dark solitons, singular solitons, singular periodic solutions, exponential solutions, Weierstrass elliptic solutions and complexiton solutions are extracted. The extracted solutions confirmed the efficacy and strength of the current technique. To illustrate the physical characteristics of the established solutions, many selected solutions are visually depicted.
