A delicacy traditionally associated with France is growing in rural Shropshire. Tim Relf reports.Mike Collison says he grew up in a house where meat-and-two-veg meals were the norm, so the first time he tried truffles he was "blown away".The one-timefarmworker and Genus AI man is recalling the moment 15 years ago when he first sampled the delicacy. He and his partner, Michelle, had bought a 2.8ha field in which to establish a tree seed business and nursery when one of his contacts -a French nurseryinoculating trees with truffle spores - enquired if he'd like to be its UK distributor.
