In recent years, India has made a name for itself in pharmaceutical production. One of the biggest news stories of the pandemic was the issues caused by China shutting down its drug ingredient export to India, the world's largest generic pharmaceutical supplier. What followed was major concerns for the supply of some finished products, such as statins and antibiotics, worldwide. Luckily, however, most major exporters had stockpiles of APIs to last them through the worst of the pandemic, and negative repercussions were limited. But the point was made, the world relies on the pharmaceutical output of this growing business. Naturally, where there is smoke, there is fire. And where there is a pharmaceutical industry, there must grow a cleanroom industry. In recent years, this supporting sector has really begun to take off and with the country's huge stakes in Pharmaceuticals, has come a controlled environment construction sector like no other.
